Infamous Supplimentary: Martial Arts

"Martial Arts," otherwise known as "Fighting Styles" are modes of weapon attack which involve some kind of special technique. These typically enable the user to employ some form of special special attack. These abilities must be truly mastered before they can adequately be used, a practice which takes much time. The time required to learn one of these Martial Arts is the same as with normal proficiencies, only that these may not be gained by advancing in level, nor can they be studied by book. These elite skills must be taught through tutoring by one who already possesses one, and must be honed to perfection on the battlefield afterwards. Fighter classes and Monks alone are capable of researching these Martial Arts, as only these classes have the sufficient battlefield experience to hone such a skill. This is a process that involves the same steps as spell research, only that the ability used correlates to the ability score to be required by the ability. Some form...

Races of the World: Goblins

Goblins are a small, malicious race of humanoid driven to cruelty by their evil nature. Goblins are found almost everywhere, especially where other evil races are present, but can mostly be found in Ustro Zomus, "The Dark Twilight" in the western half of the Malinov Drifts (an area far east of Farvion). Goblins are generally known as a wicked and clever race of creature, almost entirely benign to the typical humanoid races. Some have fur, others have large ears, and some lack typical body parts like eyes or noses. The most common forms of Goblins have skin that ranges from sickly green to dark purple, and most have long crooked noses. Some have horns, though these are typically only seen among leader Goblins. They are typically the same s...

Infamous Supplementary: Charisma

Every other ability score in AD&D 1st edition has a more specialized role that it is known for. Strength characters deal high damage, intelligence makes perception roles, dexterity characters are swift and agile, but none hold a candle to the endless utility and power of a character with high charisma. The benefits that come with charisma are primarily related to the recruiting of other characters found in the world. Characters such as henchmen can be recruited using one's charisma. Henchmen are specific to each character, and available henchmen are usually dependent on class, race, and the area you're in. Henchmen are essentially lower level classes which will follow the character and partake in the same quests that the character does. These henchmen can gain experience, and require only a share of treasure to remain loyal to the character. Henchmen loyalty is a fairly complex mechanic, and will be further discussed later in this supplement. The loyalty of these henchmen...
