Infamous Class: Anti-Assassin

The Anti-Assassin The Anti-Assassin is as the name suggests; the antithesis of the Assassin class. Instead of a skulking, dishonorable user of poisons and deception who slaughters the innocent, the Anti-Assassins face only targets truly worthy of their blades, facing them head-on with the utmost conviction. They despise Assassins, and will never serve under any who sides with them. The very concept is seen as insulting to all Anti-Assassins . In 487 the Age of Myth, a general of the Orient grew tired of the Assassins that plagued his homeland. He trained his forces specifically in exterminating Assassins, and replacing their uses in the armies of the Orient with a more honorable profession that accomplished the same goals. His name was Cao Qi, and he was responsible for the creation of the Anti-Assassin class. These, along with his specialized forces were trained in the art of killing swiftly and with the advantage of surprise, much like Assassins, however these elite Fighters fo...

Infamous 1e Class Guide: Monks

Introduction The Monk class in Infamous is possibly the most terrifying of the first classes, as it is not quite like any of the other classes. It serves many of the utility purposes filled by a Thief, later on providing the immense power a Fighter desires to make use of. They also have a whole slew of powerful abilities and talents that are unique to the Monk. To play a Monk, one must always have a lawful alignment, and while many Monks are lawful good, there are many neutral and evil monks as well. In addition, the Monk must have no less than 15 in Strength, Wisdom, and Dexterity. A Monk must also not have less than 11 Constitution. The Monk character is designed in concept to be an enlightened warrior who has undergone rigorous and unrelenting physical and spiritual training. Monks are masters of the martial arts, skilled in combat and doctrine. The Strictures of the Monk First of all, since all Monks are lawful in nature, the disciplines and practices of the Monk's code canno...

Preface to Infamous

The Infamous game began long ago in a relatively untraveled plane, a Magic-User of middling level appeared quite suddenly. He had fled to this lesser-known world in order to escape the wrath of some demons whom he had previously angered. Other characters of valor and good soon followed to this land, escaping their own war-torn worlds. With these newfound friends, the Magic-User created an invulnerable stronghold, where he researched powerful magic designed exclusively for defending against the inevitable attacks of the demons, as well as other creatures from the lower planes. When the demons eventually arrived, the Magic-User, with his unique and powerful new magic was able to fend off the invaders. Thus, the demonslayer sect was born, classes of wizard who then took to mastering their newfound magic. Over the next age, the Age of Demonslayers, many civilizations, fortresses, and cities were founded, destroyed, and founded again. This was mostly done by player characters. As more...

Infamous 1e Class Guide: Assassins

Introduction While the Fighter subclasses are good by requirement, the Assassin is evil by nature. This is due to their necessity to kill sentient life as a part of their class, most often taking the lives of humanoids for profit. Assassins are a subclass of the Thief, having their own certain advantages and disadvantages to playing the class. Firstly, an Assassin must have no less than 12 in strength and dexterity, and at least 11 intelligence. Also notable is that most races, even traditionally good ones sometimes play the role of an Assassin. Due to the abilities listed for an Assassin, it seems as though they may not necessarily be intended for player use, but they function as a class nonetheless, and should be explained and detailed as such. It is recommended that you have a higher intelligence for this class, and a high dexterity is also desired. Thieves vs. Assassins Assassins share all of the standard abilities of a normal Thief, though will not gain the skills of a 1st l...
