Errothar: Providence

Though the exact nature of Errothar's dominant religion is unclear, the ruler of both the empire and the religion of the nation are better known to the land. The man behind the throne room doors does not appear to the public often, and when he does, he hides behind a strange mask, and a stranger name. The mask bears the holy symbol of his own personal Clerics, each of which have this symbol engraved on a shield. This symbol is golden in color, depicting an open eye, with a spiked arch above. This man, responsible for the creation, and presumably the center of this strange clerical sect goes by the name "Providence." It is usually assumed that Clerics who follow Providence are of evil alignment, as their methods of success often serve themselves and their faith, almost exclusively. They work throughout the empire, often as lieutenants and operatives.

More notably, about Providence himself, he is known widely for his use of a two-handed sword. Strangely, one of the only times he appears in public is for the sake of executions, which he will accomplish on his own. His weapon in particular is made from a strange, light blue metal. It is undecided (due to lack of further information) what this metal is exactly, though some claim it to be the mythical Adamantine, an impossibly light and extremely sharp metal. No recorded evidence is found of this metal's existence, as it is only seen in ancient dwarven folklore. Runite is another possible candidate, being another mythic metal supposedly found in the far west. There is no evidence provided for this claim, only rumors. It is also worth noting that this strange weapon has never failed to kill a creature it has been seen to strike.

Providence has never publicly cast any spells, let alone clerical ones. However, many have claimed to see floating objects near the doors of his throne room. These objects seem to be alive in themselves, as if given life via an Animate Object spell. Many other spells are rumored to be within Providences capability.

His plans for the future and goals are unclear.
