Errothar: The Gauntlet of the East

Over the past hundred years or so, the mighty nation of Errothar has become consumed by it's hunger for power. When the other races split from the empire, forging their own nations, Errothar began the building of a greater army. One that could control and rule over the other nations of Farvion. And so they began, they trained an army out of their people, conscripting roughly 25% of their entire population. With the resources they would acquire from other nations, they built the finest weapons, armor, shields, and equipment Farvion had seen. Their armies were diverse and varied, split into individual battalions featuring every class.

The most notable of these featured many different soldiers, such as their Spearcharge battalion. This featured seven highly trained fighters, all with supreme strength. They charge into battle with spears, shredding any force they meet. Also renowned is their Armok's Wall, a group of super-soldiers with unrivaled constitution. They have squads featuring other classes, too. For instance, they have many groups of highly trained Thieves, known especially for their information network. They have brigades of offense and defense spellcasters, including a group of 6 individual Magic-Users, who all target a single location to blast away with their Fireball spells.

More terrifying still, are their legions of controlled monsters. Many Fire Giants have been sighted within the walls of their fortresses, as well as an occasional Wooly Rhinoceros seen in the pits of the capital. Minotaurs have also been documented. They control many powerful beasts, many of which they keep hidden, out of sight.

And yet, these still are not the most powerful thing they possess. According to word of mouth, the major Thieves' Guild, Liar's Hand, is apparently growing more active in Errothar. Not to say that they steal and fight against the nation, but that they have more guild locations there than anywhere else in Farvion. Supposedly, Liar's Hand feeds the empire with information, as to strengthen their rule over the land. In recent events, the Dragon Pirate has been made an enemy of both the guild, and the empire.

Errothar has put pressure on the other races of the world thus far. They will often accept those who cooperate with them, but will threaten to punish those who do not. They are hostile towards all other nations, save Anvlore. In this particular case, many representatives of Errothar are present in the mountain halls of Anvlore, and even have been known to exchange artifacts from time to time. Meanwhile, their hostility towards others grows stronger. Cinnia in particular is regarded with distain, as Astros, a once-renowned border fort of Errothar, has defected to the side of the Halflings in recent months. They show little hesitation in preparing for war against any nation they deem an enemy, an enemy, to mean one who opposes the mighty throne of the empire.
